Small Groups: Foundational Concepts

Motto:

No one person stands alone.

Purpose:

A Small Group is a gathering of people who create an environment to connect with one another, build community, and grow spiritually. The groups meet and explore specific areas of interest. Small groups consists of teaching, personal stories, shared thoughts and reactions, and practical applications. Small Groups are led and facilitated by Crosspoint Church volunteers.

Vision:

Becoming a church where no person stands alone.

Mission:

To connect people into groups of eight to twelve, who meet on a regular basis, in an environment that provides an opportunity for people to connect, build community, and growth in spiritual formation.

Goals:

1. To provide regular opportunities for lifting one’s spiritual/mental/emotional horizons up from the mundane considerations of day-to-day life.
2. And, in the relative safety of carefully-led small groups, to help people get to know and be known by up to 10-12 others with similar interests.
